Our Role in the Project

UTokyo’s work will focus on the subject, Effects of multiple stressors on native and invasive zooplankton species, through the field sampling and experiments to investigate their ecophysiology (respiration, feeding, reproduction / growth, lipid production and mortality). The obtained results will also contribute to the subject, Understanding the pelagic and benthic processes and their alteration due to environmental change, in which zooplankton play a pivotal role in the biological pump.
