Helmholtz-Zentrum Hereon will contribute to all of ECOTIP’s work packages. Helmholtz-Zentrum Hereon’s work will focus on establishing hydrochemical background conditions, in particular with respect to carbonate system parameters. New observations will be made as well as assessment of existing data will be performed. Furthermore, HZG will assess the role of sediment-water column exchanges on the hydrochemical conditions, which in turn influence foodweb structure.
